Tirzepatide is a dual glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) receptor agonist. It works by decreasing blood sugar, delaying how fast food moves through the stomach, increasing feelings of fullness and reducing appetite.
How should I store my medication?
Store your medication in the refrigerator between 36°F and 46°F.
How quickly will I see results? How quickly will I see a reduction in appetite?
Everyone’s experience may vary. Some patients may notice changes in appetite or general wellness within the first few weeks, while others may observe gradual effects over time. Your healthcare provider will review your progress and guide you throughout your plan.
What if I miss a dose?
If your next scheduled dose is more than 2 days away, administer the missed dose as soon as possible. If your next scheduled dose is less than 2 days away, do not administer the dose and take your next dose on the regularly scheduled day.
